ALHAWIAT'S POLE OF RESEARCH

We believe that a multi-disciplinary approach is essential to truly give impact to the testimonies of Alhawiat's women.

Beside its visual and narrative transcription, Alhawiat has therefore a didactic goal through a genuine place of debate and reflexion supported by multi-disciplinary fields of studies.

Every testimony and story will allow to pull-out a problematic and specific cases leading to a larger reflexion. Through cycles of conferences and workshops articulated around these reflexions and thematics such as gender and conflict, Alhawiat will federate various trades as researchers and intervenants will approach the central questionings of the project through multiple angles.

A convergence of collaborators

The pole of research will be animated by collaborations with various researchers (IRIS Institute, Saint-Joseph University, IFPO, etc) but also other intervenants from different backgrounds and work trades in order to elaborate and provide in-depth studies about the advancement of women's status in the Middle-East and the resources available to make the debate around their condition to evolve.

We estimate that a single expression medium and an unitarian approach of these women's stories is insufficient, therefore Alhawiat is aiming for the complementarity of several critical minds so the whole project can take form around them: anthropologists, architects, psychologists, writers and poets, artists or journalists.
